JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 13th June 2026
NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar National Highway)
From 11-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 12-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtri Pather, along with a breakdown of an Army Battery Chashma.
District Magistrate Ramban vide Order No. ADM/R/52-34 dated 10-06-2026 has accorded permission to NHAI for relaying works (execution of bituminous works) during night hours on 12th, 14th and 16th June 2026 at various locations, including the critical location of Nachlana on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar Highway).
Accordingly, traffic will remain suspended between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel on the intervening nights of:
12th/13th June 2026
14th/15th June 2026
16th/17th June 2026
Timing: 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs each night.
In view of the traffic suspension on NH-44 :
No movement of any kind of vehicle shall be allowed after 1700 hrs from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar.
No vehicle shall be allowed to move after 2000 hrs from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur and Jammu.
Passengers/LMV operators are advised to plan their journey in advance during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to the apprehension of shooting stones and movement of muck, which may cause inconvenience to commuters.
NH-44 (Nashri–Navyug Tunnel)
Tonight, no traffic movement will be allowed between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel due to execution of bituminous works on NH-44.
Tomorrow, subject to fair weather/better road conditions and after receiving clearance from road maintenance agencies:
Passenger/private cars and LMVs shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and avoid wrong-lane driving.
TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding road conditions.
Security Forces Movement
Subject to fair weather and road conditions, security forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 (Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa).
They shall move after confirmation of the highway status from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road
As per the directions issued by concerned authorities, subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
LMVs shall be allowed to ply from Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs.
Passenger/private cars shall be allowed to move from both sides on Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road.
Vehicles shall be allowed to move from Kishtwar and Daksum during the permitted hours.
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timing.
TCU Jammu/Ramban/TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned about the cut-off.
SSG ROAD
As per order issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir vide No. DivComDev/102044/410 dated 14-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
LMVs shall be allowed to ply from both sides on SSG Road.
Traffic from Srinagar towards Kargil and Kargil towards Srinagar shall be allowed after clearance from road maintenance agencies.
Vehicles from Sonamarg towards Kargil and from Drass towards Srinagar shall be allowed as per road conditions.
Mughal Road

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions :
Vehicular movement of LMVs followed by HMVs up to six tyres will be allowed.
Vehicles shall be allowed from Chandimarh (Poonch side) towards Shopian and vice versa during permitted timings.
Heavy vehicles shall be allowed only after clearance from road maintenance agencies (GREF).
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timings.
TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding traffic restrictions.
