JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 14th June 2026
From 12-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 13-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwari Pathar, in addition to breakdown of 03 HMVs between Ramban and Banihal.
Traffic Restrictions
District Magistrate Ramban vide order No. ADMR/542-54 dated 10-06-2026 (copy enclosed) has ordered restriction on NH-44 for LCV (below 26 tyres) from 06:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs and from 17:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs on 14-06-2026 at various locations, including the critical location of Nachlana on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar NHW).
Accordingly, traffic will remain suspended between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel on NH-44 during these timings.
No vehicle movement between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel on NH-44 from 06:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs
HMVs (Load Carriers) will be allowed after assessing road conditions
Security Forces vehicles will be allowed subject to situation
Passenger/LMV Traffic Advisory
Passenger/LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime.
Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides and poor visibility.
LMVs Passenger/HPSV/Private Cars (Good condition) allowed from both sides
Vehicles must follow lane discipline, avoid overtaking, wrong-lane driving, and carry anti-skid chains
SFs Convoy Movement
Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NHW subject to road and weather conditions. They shall move after assessing the situation.
Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag NH-244
As per orders:
LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides
Movement from Anantnag to Kishtwar allowed from 10:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs
Movement from Kishtwar to Anantnag allowed from 07:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs
No heavy vehicles allowed
SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri)
Subject to fair weather and road condition
LMVs only allowed from both sides
LMVs from Sonamarg towards Kargil allowed from 05:30 hrs to 11:00 hrs
LMVs from Kargil towards Sonamarg allowed from 12:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs
No heavy vehicles permitted
Mughal Road
Subject to fair weather and road condition
LMVs Passenger/Private Cars allowed from both sides
