From 21-07-2026, 1600 hrs to 22-07-2026, 1600 hrs, Jammu-Srinagar NHW remained closed for 07 hours 37 minutes due to landslides/shooting stones at several locations and incessant rainfall along the entire highway. Slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwar Path.

In view of the inclement weather conditions forecast by the IMD with a likely spell of heavy rainfall over the next few days, the general public is advised to avoid travelling on NH-44 until the weather improves and the highway is declared safe and clear for traffic. Commuters are also advised to check the status of roads at J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page.
