JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 25th June 2026
From 23-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 24-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to inclement weather conditions followed by shooting stones.
Passengers/LTV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides as well as ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal, which may cause inconvenience to commuters.
NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar National Highway)
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions:
LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.
Movement of HMVs shall be regulated as per the availability of road width and traffic conditions.
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline. Overtaking and wrong lane driving may cause congestion.
TCU Ramban shall coordinate with TCU Udhampur and TCU Kathua regarding the road condition.
Srinagar–Sinthan Movement
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Srinagar–Sinthan NHW (NH-44).
Traffic movement shall be allowed after confirmation of road status from TCU Ramban.
