JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 25th June 2026
From 23-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 24-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to inclement weather conditions followed by shooting stones.
Passengers/LTV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides as well as ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal, which may cause inconvenience to commuters.
NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar National Highway)
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions:
LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.
Movement of HMVs shall be regulated as per the availability of road width and traffic conditions.
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline. Overtaking and wrong lane driving may cause congestion.
TCU Ramban shall coordinate with TCU Udhampur and TCU Kathua regarding the road condition.
Srinagar–Sinthan Movement
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Srinagar–Sinthan NHW (NH-44).
Traffic movement shall be allowed after confirmation of road status from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244
As per order issued by the SDM Chatroo vide No. SDM/C/276-27078 dated 24-05-2026 and SDM Kishtwar vide No. SDM/K/26-27/298 dated 25-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
LMVs/Passenger Cars shall be allowed from both sides on NH-244.
Traffic shall be allowed from Sinthan Top towards Kishtwar after clearance from the concerned authorities.
Movement of vehicles from Anantnag towards Kishtwar shall be allowed from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs.
Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) shall be allowed to move on this route.
Vehicles carrying sand, stones and construction material shall be allowed after clearance from the authorities.
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timing.
TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall inform all concerned about the movement plan.
SSG ROAD
As per order issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir vide No. DivCom/Dev/100/2026/4392-4410 dated 14-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
LMVs shall be allowed from both sides on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri Road.
Traffic movement from Srinagar towards Sonamarg shall be allowed from 0600 hrs to 1200 hrs.
Traffic movement from Sonamarg towards Srinagar shall be allowed from 1300 hrs to 1800 hrs.
HMVs shall be allowed from both sides only after clearance from the authorities.
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timing.
HMVs carrying essential commodities shall be allowed subject to clearance.
SSG Convoy movement shall be permitted in such a manner that civil traffic is not disturbed.
Mughal Road
As per the order issued by the District Magistrate, Shopian vide No. DMS/ADM-P/25-26/276-85 dated 22-04-2026 and the District Magistrate, Poonch vide No. DMP/376-91 dated 22-04-2026:
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions:
LMVs/Passenger Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Mughal Road.
Traffic movement shall be allowed from Shopian towards Poonch between 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs.
Traffic movement from Poonch towards Shopian between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs shall be allowed after obtaining clearance from TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar.
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timings.
