JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 25th May 2026

From 23-05-2026, 1600 hrs to 24-05-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwar Pass. In addition to breakdown of 02 HMVs at Digool and Nashri, and the movement of 15 nomadic herds (crossing Nachlana–Banihal).

Owing to ongoing movement of 40 nomadic herds, traffic on the single-lane stretch from Marog to Kishtwar Pass is likely to slow down. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking.

Passengers/HMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides, movement of nomads towards the valley, and ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal which may cause inconvenience to commuters.
