JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 30th July 2026
Traffic Advisory
From 29-07-2026 to 02-08-2026, in view of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and prevailing weather conditions, commuters are advised to follow the traffic plan issued by Traffic Police Headquarters.
General Advisory
Due to the inclement weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, commuters are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, especially on National Highway-44.
Passenger vehicles should travel during the daytime only.
Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) should avoid travelling during night hours.
Goods carriers are advised to load their vehicles according to the prescribed norms.
Drivers must ensure their vehicles are in good mechanical condition and carry sufficient fuel before starting the journey.
Commuters are advised to avoid unnecessary halts between Ramban and Banihal due to the possibility of landslides and shooting stones.
Traffic Plan & Advisory for NH-44
Srinagar → Jammu
LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) will be allowed from both sides after assessing the road condition and weather.
HMVs carrying essential commodities may be allowed subject to traffic conditions and clearance by Traffic Police.

Cut-off Timing for LMVs and Private Cars
Nagrota (Jammu): 5:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Jakheni (Udhampur): 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Qazigund (Kashmir): 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No vehicle shall be allowed to move before or after the prescribed timings.
HMVs / Load Carriers
Movement will be regulated after assessment of NH-44 traffic conditions.
Essential commodity vehicles may be given preference.
Vehicles must follow lane discipline and traffic instructions.
Advisory
Road users are requested to:
Drive carefully and follow traffic rules.
Avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather.
Check the latest traffic updates before starting the journey.
Cooperate with Traffic Police personnel on duty.
