J&K Transfers and Postings
Government Order No. 1719-JK(GAD) of 2026 Dated: 31 October 2026
In the interest of administration, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of several JKAS officers with immediate effect.
As per the Government Order issued by the General Administration Department, the following officers have been transferred and assigned new responsibilities:
1. Khalid Majeed, JKAS
Sh. Khalid Majeed, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Baramulla, against an available vacancy.
2. Udham Dass, JKAS
Sh. Udham Dass, JKAS, Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as Joint Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
He will replace Sh. Satish Kumar, JKAS, who shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
3. Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS
Sh. Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah-Tangdhar, has been transferred and shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
4. Dr. Amit Kumar, JKAS

Dr. Amit Kumar, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Marh.
He will relieve Sh. Mukhter Ahmad, JKAS, of the additional charge of the post.
5. Daljeet Singh, JKAS
Sh. Daljeet Singh, JKAS, Tehsildar Sunderbani, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder.
6. Firdous Ahmad Qadri, JKAS
Sh. Firdous Ahmad Qadri, JKAS, Tehsildar Bandipora, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar.
Order Issuing Authority
The transfer and posting order has been issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, by order of the Lieutenant Governor.
The order has been signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, and is effective immediately.
