J&K Weather Update for 13 to 17 April 2024

13 April – 14 April
Today, light rain/snow is generally expected in some areas of Kashmir and a few places in Jammu region.
From evening/night, there is a possibility that rain will become widespread and then moderate to heavy rain/snow showers are expected across Jammu and Kashmir till tomorrow.
Cold temperatures are expected for tomorrow.
Snowfall is expected over higher reaches.

15 April:
Moderate rain with heavy showers in between are possible.
Snowfall is expected over higher reaches.
Temperatures will continue to remain below normal and cold.

16 April:
Passing rain showers expected in some areas. Overall, no major weather spell is expected.

17 April:
Mostly dry weather is expected.

Another Western Disturbance is expected from 18 April onwards.

Note:

On 14th & 15th April, Jammu-Srinagar National Highway may face temporary disruptions due to shooting stones and landslides. It is advisable to avoid traveling on JSNHW till 16th April.

Rise in the water level of streams & rivers is expected.

Lightning, hailstorm, and gusty winds can occur on 14th, 15th, & 16th April.
