Non-Local Woman Dies, Husband Critical After Suffering Burn Injuries in Bandipora

A non-local couple working with the Beacon organization in the Sonarwani area of Bandipora suffered severe burn injuries, leaving the woman dead and her husband battling for life at District Hospital Bandipora.

Reports reaching Kashmir Dot Com said that Anjani Devi (30), a resident of Gorakhpur, succumbed to her injuries, while her husband, Ramesh Kumar, remains in critical condition. The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined.

Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora, Dr. Masrat Iqbal, confirmed Anjani Deviโ€™s death and stated that Ramesh Kumar is undergoing treatment.

The deceasedโ€™s body has been sent for postmortem, and further details will emerge following the investigation,โ€ he said.

The police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation.
