Rajouri Police Bust LeT Logistics Module, 3 Held; Pistol & Grenades Recovered

Rajouri, Sep 18: In a major breakthrough, police have busted a logistic support module linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Rajouri and arrested three persons for allegedly harbouring and facilitating movement of terrorists.

An offficial told that during further investigation in case FIR No. 95/2026 of Police Station Dharamsal, Rajouri, it has emerged that three accused persons, all residents of Kot Charwal, were allegedly part of the module linked to the proscribed terrorist outfit LeT.

The accused have been identified as Mohd Azam son of Ali Bahadur, Zakir Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain and Mohd Mushtaq son of Mohd Iqbal.

According to the investigation, the accused allegedly harboured and facilitated the movement of terrorists associated with the proscribed outfit.

Their alleged role in assisting, harbouring and facilitating the movement of terrorists who were subsequently killed in an encounter at Chassana, Reasi, in 2023 has also come to light.

Investigation further revealed that the accused had allegedly provided shelter and logistical assistance to multiple terrorist groups and facilitated their movement across Rajouri-Reasi districts and through the Pir Panjal region up to Shopian.

During the course of investigation today, on 17.09.2026, one pistol along with a magazine and ammunition, besides two Chinese grenades, were also recovered on the disclosure of the accused.
