These District Schools Closed in J&K

Heavy Rain Alert: Schools Closed in Doda & Parts of Kishtwar; Online Classes to Continue in Doda

In view of continuous heavy rainfall, slippery road conditions, and safety concerns, all Government and Private schools in District Doda and most areas of District Kishtwar shall remain closed today, 29 July 2026.

Doda: All Government and Private schools will remain closed. However, online classes will continue as per the prescribed schedule.

Kishtwar: All Government and Private schools will remain closed except those located within Kishtwar City (Malipeth to Cherhar area), which will remain open and function normally.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and school staff.
