TRAFFIC POLICE ADVISORY ON THE EVE OF JANMASHTAMI
SHOBHA YATRAYAS ON 03.09.2026
On the eve of Shri Krishan Janmashtami, falling on 04.09.2026, various Shobha Yatras will be taken out in Jammu on 03.09.2026 along the routes mentioned below. The general public is hereby informed that, in view of the Shobha Yatras, various traffic restrictions, diversions, no-entry measures and temporary plugging of vehicular movement may be imposed at many locations along the routes of the Shobha Yatras. The general public, particularly motorists, is advised to plan their journey in advance and alternate routes to avoid inconvenience and traffic congestion.
Route of Shobha Yatra No. 01:
Timing: 1500 hours onwards.
Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha Geeta Bhawan Jammu, Parade Ground Jammu – Shalimar – Indira Chowk – Hari Market – Shri Raghunath Ji Temple – Pagnath Mandir Chowk – Veer Marg – Residency Road-Shahid Chowk-Rajinder Bazar – Kanak Mandi – City Chowk – Old Hospital Road – Purani Mandi – Link Road – Jain Bazar – Chowk Chabutra – Pacca Danga – Moti Bazar – Raj Tilak Road and conclude at Geeta Bhawan & finally at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.

| 6 | Kanak Mandi Road towards City Chowk | Traffic will be diverted from Shahidi Chowk towards D.C. Office. |
| 7 | Pacca Danga Post Office towards Moti Bazaar and Chowk Chabutra | Traffic will be diverted on interior routes. |
| 8 | Rani Park towards Moti Bazaar | Traffic will be diverted from Kachi Chawni towards Library Chowk. |
| 9 | Panjtirthi towards Dewan Bazar and Mubarak Mandi | Traffic will be diverted on interior routes. |

| 12 | Library Chowk towards Parade | Traffic will be diverted towards Civil Secretariat Jammu/Ghari Routary. |
Timing: 1600 hours onwards.

Main Road-Bantal to Talli Morh – Talli Morh to Vikas Nagar – Vikas Nagar to Sarwal – Sarwal to New Plot via Sarwal Shiv Mandir to New Plot Shri Radha Krishan Mandir.
Below mentioned are the Traffic Restrictions / Diversions for smooth movement of Shobha Yatra:

Traffic Restrictions / Diversions for smooth movement of Shobha Yatra:
Necessary restrictions/diversions will be applied as per ground requirement during the movement of Shobha Yatra.
In view of the above, the public in general is requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police and to avoid movement on the routes mentioned above during the Shobha Yatra(s) movement and plan their travel accordingly.
