Two Labourers Killed, Another Injured After Tractor Overturns in Baramulla

Tractor overturns during construction work near Sangri Bypass; injured labourer shifted for treatment

Baramulla, Oct 4 : Two labourers were killed while another was injured after a tractor they were travelling on overturned near Sangri Bypass in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.

An official told news agency that the incident occurred during construction work in the Sangri Bypass area, when the tractor carrying the three labourers overturned.

He said two labourers died in the incident, while another sustained injuries and was shifted for treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Raiq (32), son of Mohammad Dawoud, a resident of Ramban Chandarkot, and Abbul Wahid (45), son of Mohammad Mali Dohi, a resident of Jajar Kotli, Jammu.

The injured labourer was identified as Imran Ahmad Dar, a resident of Baramulla, the official said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, while further details are awaited. (JKNS)
