Two wildlife department officials among four injured in Ganderbal leopard attack

Two wildlife department officials, a woman and a policeman were among four persons injured in a leopard attack in Fatehpora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
Eyewitness said that a leopard was seen roaming in the area on Wednesday morning, causing panic among the residents.
They said the wildlife department officials were soon informed.
The witnesses said that the leopard attacked the wildlife department officials as they were laying a trap to capture the animal.
The injured, which included a policeman as well, were shifted to the district hospital Ganderbal for medical aid. Earlier a woman was also injured by the same leopard.
After strenuous efforts, the animal was captured by the rescue teams of wildlife department, police and forest protection force.
