Warm Days Ahead in J&K; Rain Likely From Mid-Week
The weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain mostly dry during the initial part of the week, while scattered rain and thunderstorms may affect several areas from May 19 onwards.
According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, dry weather is likely over most parts of J&K on May 17 and 18. From May 19 to May 22, isolated to scattered rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds may occur in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions.

The IMD has also warned about isolated thunderstorm activity with gusty winds of 40–50 kmph in some districts during the mid-week period.
Tourists and travelers visiting hilly destinations including Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam are advised to stay updated with local weather advisories, especially during afternoon hours when weather activity may increase.
