1. Naima Khatoon becomes first woman vice-chancellor of AMU
- The Union Ministry of Education has appointed Professor Naima Khatoon the VC of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for a period of five year.
- She is the first women to be appointed the Vice Chancellor of the University.
- Currently Professor Khatoon is the Principal of the Women’s College of the Aligarh Muslim University.
- She joined Aligarh Muslim University as a lecturer in 1998. She was made the Chairperson of the Department of Psychology at the University, and in 2014.
