1. Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stone of Dharma Path in Jaunpur
- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of Dharma Path in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur.
- This Dharma Path will connect Jaunpur with Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Mirzapur.
- In this, a four-lane road will be constructed from Hauz to Purvanchal University and from Purvanchal University to Shahganj for 3,405 crore rupees.
- In this, a four-lane road will be built on the Jaunpur to Akbarpur route under National Highway No. 135-A.

2. Former Canadian PM Brian Mulroney dies at age of 84
- Former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, who led his country from 1984 to 1993, has died at the age of 84.
- Mulroney led Canada through the closing days of the Cold War and forged a free trade agreement with the US.
- Mulroney began his career as a lawyer and business executive before taking over as the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party and becoming prime minister.
