1. Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Announces Two Major Film Industry Reforms

Constitution of a High-Level Study Group to recommend measures for making Indian cinema globally competitive.
Introduction of Model State Cinema Regulations to facilitate the establishment of more cinema halls, particularly in small towns and rural areas. The study group will submit its report within three months.
