Kreeri attack UPDATE : 2 militants killed in ongoing Kreeri Gunfight

2 CRPF personnel, cop Lost their Lives in attack

Two militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight at Kreeri village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.

Official sources informed that while chasing militants post attack on forces party at Kreeri in which two CRPF personnel and a cop were killed, a joint operation was launched in the area.

Sources said as joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.

In the exchange of fire two militants were killed, while operation is in process official sources added.

A police officer also confirmed about the killing of two militants. He however, said the identification of both militants is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day post the attack Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said that Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were involved in an attack on Security force at Kreeri Baramulla.

 

Kreeri attack UPDATE : Two CRPF Personnels succumb, toll reaches 03

Two CRPF personnel succumbed to their injuries after they were injured during a shootout in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla.

A senior police officer told  that one SPO and two CRPF were martyred during exchange of firing with militants at Naka in Kreeri.

The slain soldiers were identified as Driver Khorshid Khan Constable Sharma LavKish Sudarshad and SPO Muzafar Ahmad.

The area has been cordoned off and  more reinforcement was brought to the area to the nab the attackers.
