1. PM Modi receives Bhutan’s ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo’
- PM Modi received Bhutan’s highest civilian award, the ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo,’ the first foreign Head of the Government to receive the honour.
- The award has been conferred to PM Modi in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the growth of India-Bhutan relations and for his distinguished service to the Bhutanese nation and people.
- India’s decision to double its assistance for Bhutan’s 13th five-year plan from Rs 5000 crore to Rs 10000 crore.

2. 59th ITEC Day Celebrated In Kathmandu
- The Embassy of India, Kathmandu celebrated the 59th Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day.
- In the past 15 years alone, more than 2,000 officials from Nepal have been trained under ITEC.
- These capacity-building programmes form a part of India’s effort to not only support human resource development of Nepal along with learning experiences for India to contribute to the overall socio-economic benefit of the region.
