‘Govt Working To Strengthen Trauma Care Infrastructure Across J&K’: Sakina Itoo
Health Minister says non-operational trauma centres will be upgraded and made functional; focus on emergency care and ambulance services in remote areas
Srinagar, Sept 24 : Minister for Health and Medical Education Sakina Itoo on Thursday informed the J&K Legislative Assembly that the Government is taking concrete measures to strengthen trauma care infrastructure and emergency medical services across Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking in the Assembly, Minister Sakina Itoo, as per news agency, said efforts are underway to ensure better-equipped trauma centres and enhanced ambulance services, particularly in remote and far-flung areas, so that patients can receive timely emergency care closer to their homes.

The Minister said the Government is also working towards upgrading trauma centres that are currently non-operational and making them functional to create a more responsive and accessible emergency healthcare network across the Union Territory.
She reiterated that strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving emergency medical services remains a focus, particularly for people living in remote and difficult-to-reach areas. (JKNS)
