Indian Army Foils Infiltration Bid in Uri, Soldier Martyred. The Indian Army on Wednesday thwarted a major infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials suspect the attempt was backed by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) and involved a terrorist strike near Tikka Post.
One Indian soldier martyred during the exchange of fire.
