TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 18-11-2025

NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar National Highway)

Traffic Status (16–17 Nov 2025):

From 16-11-2025 (1600 hrs) to 17-11-2025 (1600 hrs), slow movement was seen due to single-lane traffic at:

Ballian

Dewal

Nashri-Dalwas

Marog – Kishtwari Pathar

Additionally, two HMVs broke down on NH-44, causing further delays.

Advisory for Passengers / LMVs:

Prefer daytime travel on the NHW.

Avoid night travel due to:

Slow movement inside Nashri Tunnel

Slow movement inside NAVYUG Tunnel

Heavy migration of HMVs from the Kashmir valley

This may cause inconvenience to commuters.

General Instructions:

Follow lane discipline.

No overtaking, overspeeding, or wrong-lane driving.

LMVs / Passenger Cars / Private Vehicles:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMVs shall be allowed both ways on Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44).

TCU Jammu, Srinagar, and Ramban will coordinate after confirming the road status.

Security Forces:

Also allowed both sides, subject to road and weather conditions, after confirmation from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244

Subject to fair weather & road condition and after NHIDCL clearance:

LMVs only allowed from Anantnag → Kishtwar
Timings: 0500 hrs – 1100 hrs

LMVs only allowed from Kishtwar → Anantnag
Timings: 1000 hrs – 1500 hrs

No vehicles allowed after the cut-off timings.

SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari)

After BRO clearance & fair weather:

LMVs → then HMVs allowed Minamarg → Srinagar
Timings: 0500 hrs – 1000 hrs

LMVs → then HMVs allowed Sonamarg → Kargil
Timings: 1130 hrs – 1730 hrs

No movement after cut-off time.

Security Forces (SSG Road):

Movement will take place in a regulated manner to ensure civilian traffic is not disturbed.

Mughal Road

After GREF clearance & fair weather:

LMVs / Private Cars allowed both sides between Jammu ↔ Shopian and Jammu ↔ Poonch.

From Bafliaz (Poonch): allowed 0600 hrs – 1730 hrs

From Shopian: allowed 0600 hrs – 1700 hrs (as per traffic advisory dated 31-08-2025)

HMVs:

Allowed only from Shopian → Poonch

No HMVs allowed from Poonch → Shopian

TCUs Jammu & Srinagar will update road status accordingly.
