🛣️ TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY

NH-44 (NHW)
From 20-12-2025 (1600 hrs) to 21-12-2025 (1600 hrs), slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to:
Single-lane traffic at Ballanalla, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas
Between Marog and Kishtwari Pathar
Breakdown of 03 HMVs on NH-44
❄️ Weather Advisory
In view of inclement weather prediction issued by MeT Department and a spell of snowfall / rainfall for the next few days, people are advised to:
Undertake journey only after confirming road status from TCU Srinagar / Ramban / Jammu
Check updates on J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page
🚗 Passenger / LMVs Advisory
Passengers and LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime.
Avoid night journey as movement of HMVs between Nashri Tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel may cause inconvenience to commuters.
⚠️ General Instructions
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.
Overtaking and wrong-lane driving will cause congestion.
🚘 NH-44 Traffic Status
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs / Passenger / Private Cars / HMVs (Goods Carriers) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.
TCU Jammu / Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding road condition.
🚓 SFs Convoy Movement
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 after confirming NHW status from TCU Ramban.

❌ Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)
Road closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.
❌ SSG Road (Srinagar – Sonamarg – Gumri)
Road closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.
❌ Mughal Road
Closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake journey only after confirming the status of the road from Traffic Control Units.
