From 17 March 2026 (4:00 PM) to 18 March 2026 (4:00 PM), slow movement observed on NH-44.
Reason:
Single-lane traffic between Marog and Kishtwari Pather

1. Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)
Temporarily CLOSED
Due to snow accumulation
Closure ordered by District Magistrate Anantnag
2. SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri / Zojila Axis)
If weather permits:
LMVs with anti-skid chains allowed
Route: Srinagar → Kargil
Due to avalanche risk at Zojila
No vehicle allowed after 3:00 PM
Travel only after permission from maintenance agencies
3. Mughal Road
If weather permits:
LMVs & passenger/private cars allowed from both sides
Route: Jammu ↔ Srinagar via Poonch (Chandimarg, Behramgala, Herpora)
Timing:
11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Shopian → Poonch)
No movement after cut-off time
