Online Applications Invited for Engagement of Speech Therapist

Government Medical College Anantnag invites online applications from eligible candidates who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for engagement against the below-mentioned post on an academic arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020.

The engagement shall initially be for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of six years on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance or till the selection is made by the competent authority on a regular basis, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility / Qualification:

10+2 with Science or above qualification.

Diploma/Degree in Speech Therapy from any recognized Institute/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.

Selection Criteria :

Selection will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the written/OMR-based examination only.

 

Terms & Conditions :

1. Nature of Engagement

The engagement against the advertised post shall be on an Academic Arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020.

No preferential claim shall be made for regular appointment against the post.

2. Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on performance in the written test only.

3. Period of Engagement

The engagement will be for a period of one year.

It may be extended up to a maximum of six years on yearly basis depending upon satisfactory performance.

Extension beyond six years shall not be allowed except as per provisions of S.O. 364 of 2020.

 

4. Salary

The selected candidate shall be paid salary at the minimum of the pay scale in accordance with S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020.

5. Agreement

The selected candidate will have to enter into an agreement with the institution.

The candidate shall not leave the job before completion of the one-year contract. Abandoning/termination of agreement may require one month’s prior notice from either side, failing which the salary for one month shall remain deposited with the department and will be released after completion of the term.

Age Limit :

Domicile Requirement

Candidates applying for the post must:

Be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

Possess a valid domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.

The domicile certificate must be issued on or before the cut-off date of submission of online application forms, i.e., 30 June 2026.

Important Instructions

Candidates must possess all required documents on 30 June 2026.
No document/certificate issued beyond the cut-off date shall be accepted.

Candidates must upload documents only in PDF format.
Applications with deficient documents shall be rejected.

The candidature/admission in the examination shall remain provisional until verification of educational and technical qualifications by the appointing authority.

If the post is filled through regular recruitment during the intervening period, the post shall be considered withdrawn/deleted from the notification.

Examination Scheme

The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
