Job Overview
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Nowgam, District Pulwama, has invited applications from eligible female candidates for the engagement of 01 Matron on a purely contractual basis for the academic year 2026-27.
Eligible candidates who satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply in the prescribed application format and participate in the selection process as per the schedule mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board. Preference will be given to candidates possessing higher qualifications.
Age Limit
Applicants must be:
Minimum Age: 35 years
Maximum Age: 55 years (at the time of engagement)
Marital Status
Only married female candidates, including widows and divorcees, are eligible to apply.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
Minimum wages applicable to industrial workers employed under Building Operations and Construction (B.O.C.)
Free boarding and lodging facilities.
Medical facilities available in the institution.
Accommodation in the Matron Room of the Vidyalaya.
Selection Process
The selection will be carried out through a Personal Talk/Interview conducted by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
The following conditions will apply:
Engagement will be made only after the Personal Talk.
Dependent relatives of JNV staff members are not eligible.
Every year, a fresh engagement process will be conducted.
Females with encumbrances will not be engaged.

Documents Required
Candidates shortlisted for the Personal Talk/Interview must bring:
Original certificates and testimonials.
One set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.
Proof of Identity (ID).
