JKCA secretary, Baroda’s Pranav Amin barred from BCCI AGM rolls

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association secretary D R Dubey will not be eligible to represent his unit at the upcoming BCCI Annual General Meeting, with his name excluded from the electoral rolls, according to a report on the eligibility of representatives submitted by electoral officer A K Joti.

The report, which examines the issue of representatives of member associations, has found that the JKCA secretary cannot be included in the electoral rolls for the BCCI AGM.

The development means the JKCA will not be represented by its secretary at the BCCI’s electoral exercise scheduled to be held in Mumbai on September 18.

Dubey has pending Conflict of Interest cases against him and his nomination was also found to be incomplete.

The report also deals with the case of Baroda Cricket Association’s representative Pranav Amin, who too will be barred from representing his state unit at the AGM.

Amin’s eligibility has been examined as part of the same exercise concerning the electoral rolls and representation of member associations.

The report records the grounds on which the concerned representatives have been found ineligible to represent their respective units.

The exclusion of the two representatives is significant as the electoral rolls determine the individuals entitled to represent their respective associations at the BCCI’s AGM.

The report also contains details of the objections, submissions and documents considered while examining the eligibility of the representatives.

With the AGM scheduled for September 18 in Mumbai, the JKCA secretary and Amin will therefore not be able to represent their respective associations at the meeting, as per the findings contained in the report.

Saurashtra CA’s Jaydev Shah and Uttarakhand’s Mahim Verma have been cleared as objections raised against them were summarily rejected.–(PTI)
