‘Justice And Healing’: Ladakh LG Approves Withdrawal Of Cases Against 20
Cases linked to Sept 24 Leh violence withdrawn after police review; move aimed at peace, public tranquillity and social harmony
Leh, Sept 23 : Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Wednesday approved the withdrawal of criminal cases against 20 individuals booked in connection with the violence that erupted in Leh on September 24 last year.
LG Ladakh as per news agency , said the decision was taken in the larger interest of peace, public tranquillity and social harmony in Ladakh.
Following a comprehensive review, Ladakh Police recommended a closure report for the 20 individuals in FIR No. 144/2005 registered at Police Station Leh under Section 360 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

Saxena said the decision would enable the individuals to move forward with their lives and careers, while prioritising justice and healing to foster a peaceful, united and harmonious society.
He also expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his constant guidance and “sympathetic approach” towards the victims and their families. (JKNS)
