Applications on prescribed format duly affixed thereon a passport size photograph and self-attested are invited from the eligible domiciles of J&K for the purpose of appointment in the Government Service (Gazetted level-8 and Non- gazetted) in terms of the J&K (Appointment of outstanding sports persons) Rules, 2022 for the quota of calendar years 2014 to 2021.

The candidates who fulfil the following qualification/conditions as laid down
in the rules notified vide S.O. 12 Dated: – 06.01.2022, should only apply:-

FOR CONSIDERATION AGAINST GAZETTED POSTS:

A Sportsperson who has represented India in International Games/Competitions namely Olympic Games /Paralympic / World Cup (played once in four years) / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games/ International Cricket Matches (Main Indian Team)/ World University Games, in any of the sports disciplines mentioned in Annexure-I to S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022;

A person who has won First, Second or Third position in International Competitions namely World Championship/Asian Championship /Commonwealth Championship/ SAF Games/ Championship in any of the sports disciplines mentioned in Annexure-I to S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022.

FOR CONSIDERATION AGAINST NON-GAZETTED POSTS:

A Sportsperson who has represented India In International Games/Competitions namely Olympic Games/ Paralympic / World Cup (played once In four years)/ Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/International Cricket Matches (Main Indian Team) / World University Games, In any of the sports disciplines mentioned In
Annexure-I to S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022;

A person who has represented India In International Competitions namely World Championship /Asian Championship / Commonwealth Championship/ SAF Games/ Championship in any of the sports disciplines mentioned in Annexure-I to S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022;

A person who has won First, Second or Third Position in the individual or Team events in National Games or Senior National Championship; or Federation Cup or Senior Inter Zonal competitions; held under Indian Association /National Sports Federation/ Association officially recognised in any of the sports disciplines mentioned in annexure-I to S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022.

“For the purpose of appointment under the aforementioned Rules, the applicant should have represented at the District, State/UT and National level competitions prior to International competitions”.

Provided those candidates shall be considered for the quota of Calendar year 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021 who have secured position or represented in any event / Game / competitions recognized under these rules during the period from 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2014; 01.01.2011 to 31.12.2015; 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2016; 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2017; 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2018; 01.01.2015 to 31.12.2019; 01.01.2016 to 31.12.2020 and 01.01.2017 to 31.12.2021
respectively.

The Sports disciplines covered under the above rules are Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling (International Style), Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Judo, Shooting, Archery, Equestrian sports, Handball, Rowing, Roller/Ice Skating, Skiing, Squash, Billiard & Snooker, Chess, Golf, Kabaddi, Karate, Kayaking & Canoeing, Polo, Powerlifting (composite events only) , Taekwondo, Yachting, Kho-Kho, Softball, Wushu, Fencing, Sports for physically challenged, Baseball, Netball, PencakSilat, Triathlon and Ice Hockey.

Candidates who fulfil the above qualifications in addition to required academic / Technical qualification should be of the age as may be prescribed by the J&K Public Service Commission / J&K Service Selection Board or any other concerning appointing authorities in the UT.

How to Apply :

Applications enclosing therewith the following certificates (as a set of Xerox in duplicate) self attested, should reach the office of the Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council at Sports House, M.A Stadium, Jammu / Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar on or before 7th February 2022:-

Domicile / resident Certificate.

Date of Birth Certificate.

Certificate of Academic/Technical qualifications.

Sports achievements/certificates.

An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper on prescribed format affirming the authenticity of Sport Certificates duly attested by Magistrate (1st Class).

Sports background of applicant at District/ State/UT/ National & International level in chronological order as per the format given here under:-

The applicants should also follow the following guidelines :

The certificate of participation in International events will be considered and recognized if these are issued by the following office bearers including the Organizing Secretary or/and Secretary General:-

Respective Host Country; OR

Respective International Federation; OR

Respective Recognized National Federation.

Incomplete applications or applications with unfilled columns will not be
entertained.

Discretion of providing jobs in different Government Departments to the
eligible outstanding sportspersons by Government shall not be challenged
in any forum.

Only such academic, professional and technical qualification shall be considered, which the applicant is in possession of on the date of receipt of application. Any qualification/experience acquired thereafter shall not be taken into account for any purpose.

The sports merit shall be determined as per Annexure-II of S.O. 12 dated 06.01.2022.

The maximum number of the appointment of outstanding sports persons against the direct requirement quota in all the services during the calendar year shall not exceed 05 in Gazetted cadre and 25 in Non- Gazetted Cadre in any case.

The previous advertisement notice(s) issued for the quota of calendar year 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 shall be deemed to have been withdrawn ab-initio.
