Eligibility Criteria :
Qualifications:Â As per the detailed CEN No. 01/2026. Post-wise Education Qualification and Medical Standards will be published exclusively on the official websites of the participating RRBs.
Age Limit:Â 18 to 30 years as on 01.07.2026. Age relaxation as per Railway rules will be applicable as mentioned in the detailed CEN.
Candidates are advised to verify their primary details using Aadhaar during filing of the online application to avoid inconvenience and delays due to special detailed scrutiny at every stage of recruitment process for Non-Aadhaar verified applications.
Name and Date of Birth in Aadhaar shall be updated to match 100% with the Full Name and Date of Birth available in the 10th class pass certificate. Aadhaar also needs to be updated with the latest photo and latest biometrics (Fingerprint & Iris) before filling the online application.
All terms, conditions, eligibility criteria, procedures and other requirements governing the recruitment shall be strictly as per the detailed CEN No. 01/2026 (along with any corrigendum) to be published on the official websites of the RRBs.

Candidates are required to pay the non-refundable recruitment fee online. Fee can be paid only through online mode – internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. Applications received without the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected. Candidates who appear in CBT-1 will receive a refund of their examination fee (after deducting applicable bank charges) credited to their Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Applications must be submitted Through Online Mode Only. Visit https://www.rrbapply.gov.in to fill and submit the online application form.
The Opening Date of Application is 15-05-2026 and the Closing Date is 14-06-2026 (23:59 Hrs).
Before filling the application, ensure that your Aadhaar details (Name and Date of Birth) match 100% with your 10th class pass certificate and that Aadhaar is updated with the latest photo and biometrics.

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (14-06-2026). Educational/Technical qualification certificates must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute. Candidates awaiting results of their final examination for the prescribed qualification are NOT eligible to apply. The post of ALP is not suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD). Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery or any other corrective eye surgery are not eligible for this post.

Selection Process :
The selection process for RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 consists of five successive stages – First Stage CBT (CBT-1), Second Stage CBT (CBT-2), Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME). CBT-1 is a screening exam only and its marks are not counted in the final panel. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of combined marks from Part-A of CBT-2 (50% weightage) and CBAT scores (50% weightage). Negative marking of 1/3rd mark per wrong answer applies in both CBT-1 and CBT-2. There is no negative marking in CBAT.

Stage 4 & 5 – Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME)
Final merit list is prepared RRB-wise from candidates qualifying in CBAT, with 50% weightage to Part-A of CBT-2 marks and 50% weightage to CBAT scores. Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are shortlisted for DV and Medical Examination. In case of a tie, the older candidate is preferred; if age is also equal, alphabetical order of given name (A to Z) is applied.

Medical Standards :
The post of ALP carries Medical Standard A-1. Candidates must be physically fit in all respects with stringent vision requirements. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery or any other corrective eye surgery are not eligible. A Self Screening Medical Declaration Report (Part-A signed by General Physician and Part-B signed by Eye Specialist, both from a Central/State Government Hospital or Medical College) must be submitted on the CBAT exam day.

Important Instructions for Candidates
Only one application per candidate is accepted – multiple applications to one or more RRBs will result in rejection of all applications and permanent debarment from RRB/RRC exams.
Candidates awaiting results of their final prescribed qualification examination are NOT eligible to apply.
Candidates who have undergone Lasik or any other corrective eye surgery are not eligible for the post of ALP.
Selection of RRB, once submitted, is final and cannot be changed at any later date.
Job Recruitment in SKUAST Jammu
Details filled in the “Create an Account” form (including mobile number, email ID) and chosen RRB cannot be modified at any stage after account creation.
Examination fee is refundable (after deducting bank charges) only to candidates who appear in CBT-1; rejected or absent candidates are not eligible for refund.
Refund will be credited only to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account; candidates must ensure their Aadhaar is linked to an active bank account.
Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, books, pen, food items, and all other listed banned items are strictly prohibited inside the test centre.
Examination centre, date, and shift allotted in the e-call letter are final – no requests for change will be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates must maintain identical signatures throughout all stages of the recruitment process. No BLOCK/CAPITAL/DISJOINTED letter signatures are acceptable.
Free Sleeper Class Railway Pass is available for SC/ST candidates for CBT/CBAT/DV/Medical Examination stages (if opted in application).
