Age Limit :
Age is calculated as on the cut-off date 28/05/2026. Candidate must not be below 18 years of age as on 28/05/2026. The upper age limit is 30 years for General (UR) and EWS category candidates.

Note: The actual upper age limit of the applicant (except Sl. No. 05) on the crucial date 28/05/2026 shall not exceed 56 years. There is no age bar for Departmental Candidates i.e. any employee of CIL and its subsidiary companies having the requisite qualification.

Exam Pattern
The selection methodology will comprise of Computer Based Test (CBT) only. No personal interview will be held. The CBT will consist of objective type questions with multiple choice answers. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Instructions will be bilingual (English/Hindi).
The CBT will consist of two sections totalling 100 marks: Section “A” comprising 20 questions on General Awareness/Aptitude (1 mark each), and Section “B” comprising 80 questions on Technical Knowledge (1 mark each). Total time: 2 hours.

Qualifying Marks in CBT:

Candidates may opt for three Test Cities from the list as per their preference at the time of applying. The same cannot be changed after the online form is submitted. MCL reserves the right to allocate or change the Test City.
Selection Process :
The selection for MCL Asst. Foreman Electrician Technician Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following stages:
Computer Based Test (CBT): Eligible candidates will be provisionally called for CBT on the basis of their self-declaration regarding eligibility. Scrutiny/verification of eligibility claims will be done post-declaration of CBT results for candidates called for document verification.
Document Verification: Based on the merit order of marks secured in CBT, shortlisted qualified candidates in the ratio of 1:3 will be called for document verification. In case of a tie in marks, it will be resolved on the basis of Date of Birth (elder candidate first) and thereafter Name alphabets. Candidates must appear with all original certificates/documents and photocopies as per eligibility criteria. Candidates working in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Bodies/PSUs/CIL & Subsidiaries must produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer.
Provisional Select List: After verification of documents/certificates, a Provisional Select List of successful candidates will be published on the official website of MCL (https://mahanadicoal.in).
Final Appointment: Provisionally selected candidates will be issued an offer of appointment based on their position in the merit list and with due consideration of reservation policy of Govt. of India for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS/ESM. The validity of the merit panel will be for 01 year or as per extant Govt. guidelines.
Medical Fitness: Selected candidates will have to undergo Initial Medical Examination (IME) in the designated Hospital by the Company’s Doctor. Final appointment/joining will be subject to being declared medically fit as per rule. Minimum required height of the candidate should be 60 inches (excluding for the post of Asst. Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee), T&S Gr-C only in case of Dwarfism).
Career Growth
For the post of Asst. Foreman (Electrical) (E&M), further career growth of candidates to T&S Gr-B and onwards will be subject to acquisition of Electrical Supervisorship Certificate of Competency valid for Mines as per the Cadre Scheme.
For the post of Technician (Electrician) (E&M), trainees in Cat-III will be regularized as Electrician, Cat-IV after successful completion of one year training in E&M cadre and possession of valid minimum requisite Electrician Statutory permit/certificate.

Step 3 – Login & Fill Application: Re-login using User ID and Password. Click on the Application Form option, fill all necessary details in the respective fields and upload required documents, Photo and Signature.
Step 4 – Preview & Submit: Check Preview of the Application Form and make corrections if any. Press the Submit Button.
Step 5 – Pay Fee & Print: Make online payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking (as applicable). Take a printout of the application form for future record.
Note: The last date for submission of application is 28/May/2026 up to 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised not to wait till the last date and time for applying online. MCL shall not be responsible if candidates are unable to submit applications at the last hour due to network congestion.
