BDL has announced a total of 20 Project Engineer vacancies across 3 disciplines – Electronics (10), Mechanical (5), and Computer Science (5) – with reservations for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates.

Important Dates :

The BDL Walk-in Interview is scheduled for 6th and 7th June 2026. Candidates must reach the venue by 09:00 AM; no entry will be permitted after 02:00 PM on interview days.

How to Apply for BDL Recruitment 2026 ?

BDL Project Engineer 2026 is a Walk-in Interview – there is no online application form. Candidates must appear directly at the venue with all required documents. Follow these steps:

Download the official BDL Recruitment 2026 notification PDF from bdl-india.in → HR section.

Download and print the Bio-data Form (Annexure-I) attached to the notification.

Fill the Bio-data Form in capital letters, affix a recent passport-size colour photograph, and self-attest all required documents.

Calculate your age as on 07.05.2026 and verify that you meet the upper age limit for your category.

Arrange one set of self-attested photocopies of all required documents (originals must also be carried for verification).

Reach The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Suranjan Das Road, New Tippasandra, Bengaluru – 560075 (near Vivekananda Metro Station) by 09:00 AM on the interview date.

Submit your Bio-data Form and documents at the registration desk. Documents will be scrutinised to verify eligibility.

Eligible candidates will be called for the interview on the same day or a later day (candidates may need to stay more than one day at their own expense).

No TA or DA will be paid. Mobile phones and electronic devices are not permitted inside the venue.

The upper age limit for BDL Project Engineer 2026 is reckoned as on 07.05.2026. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India rules

What is the Educational Qualification for BDL Project Engineer 2026?

Candidates must hold a First Class (60%) BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engg (4 years) / Integrated M.E. / M.Tech in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-approved institution. For SC/ST candidates applying against reserved posts, 55% marks are sufficient.

 

No rounding off allowed (59.99% is not treated as 60%). Academic / Teaching / Internship / Project Work experience will NOT count as industrial experience.

What is the Experience Requirement for BDL Project Engineer 2026?

All posts require a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification industrial experience in the relevant domain. Key areas per discipline:

BDL Project Engineer 2026 – Salary

BDL Project Engineer salary starts at ₹30,000/- per month in the first year and increases to ₹39,000/- per month by the fourth year, plus an annual allowance of ₹10,000/- for medical, attire, and footwear expenses.

In addition, ₹10,000/- per year is paid in two instalments towards medical insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, and footwear allowance. The contract is initially for 1 year, extendable up to a maximum of 4 years based on organisational requirement and individual performance.

Selection Process

Selection for BDL Project Engineer 2026 is based on a total of 100 marks across three components. The minimum qualifying marks are 60% (with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Government rules).

75 Academic Marks – (1 mark per % of degree, max 75)

10 Post-Qualification Experience (1yr=3 pts · 2yr=6 pts · 3yr+=10 pts)
