Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Candidates must meet the educational qualification and post-qualification experience requirements as on the cut-off date 30.04.2026. Prescribed educational qualifications and experience are the minimum qualifying criteria – mere possession does not entitle candidates for interview.

Officer Grade-II [Mech – Offshore (Deep Sea)] Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical / Production 6 years for Degree / 12 years for Diploma. Awareness of international codes and standards (ASTM, NACE, AWS, ASNT, BS, API 5L, API 17J, ISO, DNV, etc.). Experience of inspecting fabrication and installation of piping, piping components as per API, ASTM, ASME, BS, NACE codes. Experience in AUT (Automated UT).
Officer Grade-II [E&I – Offshore (Deep Sea)] BE / Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation Minimum 6 years for Degree / 12 years for Diploma. Awareness of international codes (API, NEMA, NEC, IEC, IEEE, BIS, BS, ASTM, ISO, OSHA, etc.). Experience in Umbilicals, FAT and SAT of instruments, DCS, SCADA, PLC’s, HIPPS, Telecommunication systems, etc.
Officer Grade-III (Safety Officer) Engineering Graduate in any branch with minimum 50% marks AND Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety Relevant experience in Safety field; process safety experience preferred for deployment in process facilities.
Officer Grade-II (Marketing & Business Development) Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Civil / IT / CS / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Instrumentation with minimum 50% marks Relevant experience with responsibility of sales, marketing and tendering / bidding activities in Consultancy and / or EPC business.
Officer Grade-II (Contract & Purchase / SCM) Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Civil / IT / CS / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Instrumentation with minimum 50% marks Relevant experience in managing and uploading / data entry of documents in EDMS/EPS systems, GeM Portal, CPP Portal, file maintenance, managing appointments and meetings, liaison for meetings/conferences, and other office related tasks.
Officer Grade-II (Office Management) Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Civil / IT / CS / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Instrumentation with minimum 50% marks Relevant experience with good communication skills (written and oral), Computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), hands-on experience of secretarial works to MD / Director / Owner / Higher official, preparation of presentations. Should have experience in managing the CEO’s calendar end-to-end and planning domestic and international travel itineraries as per PSU norms.

Age Limit :

Age is calculated as on 30.04.2026. Upper age limits are as per designation and discipline, detailed in the vacancy table above. Relaxations are applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

Applications received will be put up to a Committee for shortlisting. Screening and selection will be based on the details provided in the application form – only accurate, full and correct information should be furnished. Furnishing of wrong/false information will result in disqualification.

For Officer Grade Posts (QA/QC, Safety, Marketing, SCM, Office Management): Shortlisting based on application details, followed by Personal Interview. Interviews will be held at CEIL office, Navi Mumbai. Online interviews (Skype, Google Meet, or similar) may also be conducted if required.

For HR Associate Category: Selection will be done through Written Test. Candidates complying with the criteria will be shortlisted for the written test.

CEIL may restrict the number of candidates called for interview / written test based on academic excellence, age, and experience. Selected candidates will be on panel and appointment letters will be issued as per requirement.

Who should NOT apply for CEIL Recruitment 2026?

Candidates who do not hold an Engineering Degree or Diploma in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks – this is a hard requirement for all technical posts.

Mechanical/Production QA/QC candidates who do not have ASNT Level-II certification in NDT methods (UT, RT, MPT, PT) – this is mandatory and non-negotiable.

Candidates who do not have the prescribed minimum post-qualification experience as on 30.04.2026 – experience counted is post-PQ only.

Candidates exceeding the maximum age limit for their respective grade and discipline (Degree or Diploma holder category) as on 30.04.2026.

Candidates looking for a permanent government job – this is a Fixed Term Contract with no liability on CEIL for regular appointment at any stage; total contract period will not exceed 36 months under any circumstances.

Candidates not willing to serve anywhere in India – posting can be at any CEIL office or project site across India at the discretion of management.

OBC candidates from creamy layer – only OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are eligible for reservation benefits.

PwD candidates with less than 40% disability – minimum 40% disability is required for PwD relaxation benefits.

Common mistakes / What to check before applying for CEIL Recruitment 2026?

Not checking ASNT Level-II certification status before applying for Mechanical/Production QA/QC posts – it is mandatory and absence will disqualify the application.

Miscalculating experience years – experience must be post-qualification (after engineering degree/diploma) and is counted as on 30.04.2026, not the date of application.

Applying with CGPA/OGPA without converting to equivalent percentage – candidates must indicate the equivalent percentage as per university/institute norms and be ready to produce documentary proof at interview.

Applying through any mode other than CEIL’s official recruitment portal (https://www6.eil.co.in/ceilrecruitment/) – applications through any other mode will not be entertained.

Providing an incorrect or inactive email ID – all communications including interview/test intimation will be via email only; CEIL will not be responsible for loss of communication due to invalid email.

Applying for Grade-II posts in Marketing, SCM, or Office Management without adequate experience in those specific functional areas – engineering qualification alone is not sufficient; relevant functional experience is mandatory.

Not keeping track of CEIL’s official website www.ceil.co.in – any change in last date or other schedule will be communicated only through the website, not separately.

Attending the interview without carrying all original documents – absence of any required document (age proof, marksheets, experience certificates, salary slip, category certificate) will result in disqualification from interview.

Canvassing in any form – this will immediately result in disqualification.

Not preparing 5 copies of the Annexure (CV format) – shortlisted candidates will need to bring 5 copies of the Annexure, which will be sent only to shortlisted candidates by CEIL.

Important Instructions for CEIL Recruitment 2026 Candidates

This is a Fixed Term Contract engagement – purely on a temporary basis. It does not carry any liability on CEIL for regular appointment at any stage. Total contract period will not exceed 36 months under any circumstances.

Initial appointment is for one year, extendable (if required) for another 36 months or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance.

Selected candidates will initially be posted at CEIL Head Office, Navi Mumbai but may be posted at any CEIL office or project site anywhere in India at management’s discretion. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India need apply.

No perks or allowances other than the consolidated salary are payable. In case of extension beyond one year, increment @ 3% per year will be considered for the next 2 years.

Fixed Term Personnel must take Medical Insurance of minimum ₹2,00,000/- for self; the premium will be reimbursed by CEIL.

CGPA/OGPA/CPI or letter grade in Degree must be converted to equivalent percentage as per university/institute norms and documentary proof will be required at interview.

No TA/DA will be given for attending interviews.

Candidates must be of sound health; Medical Fitness Certificate from Government Hospital / Company Nominated Hospital is required at the time of joining (expense reimbursable on original receipt).

Contractual engagement may be terminated by CEIL at any time at its sole discretion without assigning any reason if performance/conduct is found unsatisfactory.

For termination during currency of contract, one month’s written notice or one month’s consolidated pay in lieu thereof shall be given by either party.
