A total of 43 vacancies are available for the post of Senior Assistant Engineer (Electronics), E-I Grade on Fixed Tenure.
The reservation is 100% for Ex-Servicemen.
The category-wise distribution of the 43 posts is as follows: Unreserved (UR) – 22 posts; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 11 posts; Scheduled Caste (SC) – 7 posts; Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 3 posts.
All posts are exclusively for Ex-Servicemen from the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Eligibility Criteria :
This recruitment is exclusively for Ex-Servicemen from the Indian Air Force (IAF). Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on 01.04.2026. The minimum educational qualification is a 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Candidates must have served in the IAF in the rank of Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) or above, with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience.
The date of retirement from the IAF must be on or before 01.04.2026.
The reservation is 100% for Ex-Servicemen. Candidates currently employed in the Armed Forces who are yet to be discharged must submit documentary proof of their medical category, character, and probable date of discharge.

Age Limit :
The upper age limit is calculated as on 01.04.2026. The maximum age for General (UR) and EWS candidates is 50 years. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get a relaxation of 3 years (upper age limit: 53 years). SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years (upper age limit: 55 years).
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India rules applicable to their respective category. Since this recruitment is exclusively for Ex-Servicemen, age relaxation as per ESM/IAF service norms is inherently covered. Only candidates with at least 40% disability are eligible for PwBD reservation and relaxation.

Pay Scale & Benefits :
Selected candidates will be inducted in the E-I Grade pay scale of Rs. 30,000/- – 3% – 1,20,000/-. In addition to basic pay, the complete remuneration package includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Perquisites at the rate of 35% of the annual basic pay, reimbursement of medical expenses, Group Insurance, Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, and Performance Related Pay (PRP) as per Company rules.
The total tenure of engagement will be for a period of 15 years or until the date of superannuation (60 years of age), whichever is earlier. The engagement will be reviewed after every 5 years based on individual performance and project requirements. Posting will be on PAN-India Project Site locations as per company requirements.

Selection Process :
Selection for the post of Senior Assistant Engineer, E-I Grade (Fixed Tenure) will be conducted through a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview. Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the interview in a ratio of 1:7 (as per the vacancy in each category).
The candidature at all stages of the selection process is provisional in nature – merely fulfilling the minimum qualification and experience requirements does not guarantee being called for the written test. If the number of eligible applicants is high, the number of candidates to be called for the written test may be restricted based on academic excellence and experience.
BEL reserves the right to change, cancel, modify, or add to any criteria, method of selection, or number of posts based on actual requirements at the time of selection. All further announcements related to the written test date, venue, and result will be published on www.bel-india.in.

How to Apply ?
Candidates must apply in the prescribed application format available on the BEL website www.bel-india.in (Annexure-1). The application form must be submitted on A4 size paper with a recent passport-size colour photograph pasted on it, filled in CAPITAL LETTERS only.
The completed application along with self-attested copies of all required documents must be placed in a sealed envelope with the cover superscribed as “Application for the post of Sr. Asst. Engineer, E-I Grade/RADAR SBU” and sent by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier to the following address. Hand delivery of applications will not be accepted. Only one application per candidate is allowed – if multiple applications are received, only the latest valid (complete) application will be retained. The last date for receipt of applications is 18.05.2026.

Important Instructions :
Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria (age, qualification, experience, category, rank, date of retirement from IAF etc.) before applying.
Applications must be in the prescribed format (A4 size, CAPITAL LETTERS only) available on www.bel-india.in – incomplete or incorrectly formatted applications will be summarily rejected without assigning reasons.
Only one application per candidate is permitted – in case of multiple applications, only the latest valid (complete) application will be retained.
Category (General/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) once declared in the application cannot be changed – no requests for category change will be entertained.
Candidates must have a valid and active email ID mentioned in the application – written test information will be sent via email; BEL will not be responsible for bouncing or non-receipt of emails due to invalid email IDs.
Valid photo identity proof must be produced at the time of appearing for the Written Test.
Mere issue of admit card does not imply that candidature has been finally cleared by BEL.
If any information provided by the candidate is found incorrect/false/misleading at any stage of selection or after joining, the candidature will be cancelled and employment terminated.
Candidates should be in sound health – no relaxation in health standards is allowed; appointment is subject to being found medically fit in the pre-employment medical examination.
Work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and may be rejected without prior intimation.
If any applicant has litigated with a previous employer in the past, the same must be clearly mentioned in brief in the application.
Any form of canvassing or influence will result in disqualification. BEL reserves the right to debar/disqualify any candidate at any stage of the selection process.

The prescribed application form (Annexure-1) for the post of Senior Assistant Engineer, E-I Grade (Fixed Tenure – 5 Years) is available on the BEL official website www.bel-india.in. Candidates must download and print the form on A4 size paper and fill all particulars in CAPITAL LETTERS only. A recent passport-size colour photograph must be pasted in the designated space on the application form. The completed application form along with all required self-attested documents must be sent in a sealed envelope to the Deputy General Manager (HR & Administration), BEL Ghaziabad by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier before the closing date.
