Walk-In Interview for Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow

The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has invited eligible candidates to appear for a walk-in interview for engagement under IIMR projects.

The recruitment is for the positions of Research Associate (Biochemistry) and Senior Research Fellow (Unani). The engagements will be purely temporary and made on a consolidated basis initially for six months, subject to extension depending on performance.

Vacancy Details

1. Research Associate (RA) – Biochemistry

Number of Vacancy: 01

Age Limit:
Candidates should not be more than 40 years of age as on the last date of application.

Tenure:
The engagement will initially be for six months, which may be extended further based on performance.

Consolidated Pay:
₹69,600 per month

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from a recognized university/institution.

The research area should include research work involving:

Handling of laboratory animals

In-vitro and in-vivo electrophysiology experience

Electrophysiology instrumentation

Preference will be given to candidates having post-Ph.D. experience, particularly experience in:

Scientific writing and manuscript preparation

Literature reviews

Research experience in projects funded by AYUSH, ICMR or equivalent organizations

Desirable Experience

Candidates having experience in smooth muscle physiology and molecular biology techniques will be preferred. Familiarity with data acquisition, analysis, interpretation and record keeping will also be desirable.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – Unani

Number of Vacancy: 01

Age Limit:
Candidates should not be more than 30 years of age as on the last date of application.

Tenure:
The engagement will initially be for six months, which may be extended depending on performance.

Consolidated Pay:
₹42,000 per month + HRA

Place of Posting:
Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Post Graduate Degree in Unani System (Moalijat) from a recognized university included in the Second Schedule of the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Act, 1970.

Desirable Experience

Candidates having experience in clinical research will be preferred.

Eligible and interested candidates are required to report for the walk-in interview as follows:

Research Associate (Biochemistry): 14 September 2026
Senior Research Fellow (Unani): 16 September 2026
Reporting/Interview Time: 10:30 AM

Important Instructions

The engagement is purely temporary and will initially be made for six months. Extension may be considered depending upon the candidate’s performance and project requirements.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
