Government Polytechnic College Ramban, Chanderkote, has issued Notification No. 03 of 2026 inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty for the Academic Session Nov-Dec 2026.
The engagement will be made on a need basis against clear vacancies. Eligible candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and submit their applications along with self-attested documents either offline or through the official email address.

Vacancies and Eligibility
Applications are invited for Guest Faculty in the following disciplines:
1. Electronics and Communication Engineering
Candidates should possess a B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks.
2. Computer Engineering
Candidates should have a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks.
3. Language and Communication Skills
Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in English from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks.
Who Can Apply?
The recruitment is open to eligible candidates who:
Are domiciles of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Fulfil the prescribed educational qualification for the relevant discipline.
Meet the minimum percentage requirement.
Can provide the required educational and other supporting documents.
Satisfy the terms and conditions prescribed for Guest Faculty engagement.
Selection Process
The selection of Guest Faculty will be carried out as per Directorate Order No. 37 of 2023 dated 24 January 2023.
The selection criteria consist of a total of 100 points, distributed as follows:
80 points: Basic qualification on a pro-rata basis.
5 points: Higher qualification.
5 points: GATE/NET/SET qualification.
5 points: Teaching experience at Polytechnic Diploma level or higher, on a pro-rata basis. One point will be awarded for each academic year.
5 points: Interaction with the concerned candidates.
Remuneration
The selected Guest Faculty members will be paid remuneration in accordance with the conditions prescribed under Government Order No. 89-JK(DSD) of 2021 dated 18 November 2021.
Terms and Conditions
The engagement will be governed by the following conditions:
The engagement is purely on Guest Faculty norms and will be limited to one academic session.
Engagement will be made only against a clear vacancy.
Remuneration will be paid strictly according to the applicable Government norms.
Selected candidates must submit an undertaking/affidavit authenticated by a First Class Magistrate before joining.
The undertaking must clearly state that the candidate will not claim continuation of services after the engagement.
The engagement may be terminated at any point of time without any notice period, as per the prescribed conditions.
