Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (01-06-2026). Only unmarried Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in English in Class X or Class XII.

Recruitment in Jammu Cantonment Board, Satwari

The qualifying degree must be from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India, or educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared deemed Universities/Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007, or IIIT Act 2014.

Foreign university degrees are also accepted if the institution is recognised by the Government of India or holds an Engineering Degree equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU Act 1973)

Candidates in the final year of their qualifying degree (regular/integrated) are also eligible to apply. Candidates selected in the final merit list must submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks by emailing [email protected] by June 2026. Failure to do so will result in non-permission to join INA, Ezhimala.

Candidates must have been born between 01 January 2002 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive) to be eligible for this recruitment. There is no separate category-wise age relaxation for this entry. The age eligibility is determined strictly by the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/10th Certificate. Candidates outside this birth date range are not eligible under any circumstances

Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Navy SSC IT Officer Recruitment 2026 consists of 3 stages – Shortlisting based on normalised marks in qualifying degree, SSB Interview, and Medical Examination. There is no written examination. Marks obtained in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae available at https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf.

The final merit list is prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination will be appointed subject to police verification, character verification, and availability of vacancies.

 

Mere inclusion in the Select List/Merit list does not confer a vested right to appointment. Empanelment is not to be treated as final selection and is not an enforceable claim to the post.

Stage 1 – Shortlisting for SSB Interview

Stage 3 – Medical Examination

Medical Examination All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination as per Indian Navy standards. No relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital/centre is not permissible under any circumstances.

Exam Syllabus :

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Shortlisting is based on normalised marks in the qualifying degree. The SSB Interview assesses the candidate’s Officer Like Qualities (OLQ), intelligence, psychological suitability, and overall personality. Applications must be submitted online only through the Indian Navy official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in when the application window opens from 16-05-2026 to 01-06-2026. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.

To save time during the application submission window, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance.

The application once submitted is final – no request for amendments or changes will be entertained.

 

Personal particulars must be filled exactly as they appear in the Matriculation Certificate. Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI is mandatory. All documents must be scanned in original JPG/TIFF format. If any scanned document is not legible or readable, the application will be rejected. Candidates must take a printout of the submitted application and carry it while appearing for the SSB interview.

Important Instructions :

Only unmarried Indian citizens (Men & Women) born between 01 January 2002 and 01 July 2007 are eligible to apply.
