Online applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Project Assistant (PA) under the project titled:
“Geospatial Model for Real Time Monitoring of Construction Activity within and around Dal-Nageen Lake, Khushalsar and Brarinambal Lagoon of Srinagar City, J&K”
The project is sponsored by the JKST&IC, Department of Science & Technology, Government of J&K.
The appointment is purely temporary for one year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification/Experience
M.Tech. (Remote Sensing/GIS)

Salary
₹20,000 per month + HRA
Duration
One Year or as per the requirement of the project.

Terms & Conditions
The engagement is purely temporary and will end with the completion of the project. It does not confer any right to regular appointment in the University.
The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of a non-performing candidate at any time without prior notice.
Candidates must produce the original documents along with:

Relevant testimonials
Passport-size photograph
at the time of the interview.
The interview date will be notified on the IUST website.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
The University reserves the right not to fill the advertised post without assigning any reason.
Internal Ph.D. scholars are also eligible, subject to submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned authority/supervisor as per University rules.
If a selected candidate wishes to withdraw, they must serve a one-month notice period or pay one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
Service conditions will be governed by the rules and regulations of the University and/or the funding agency, as amended from time to time.
Candidates who are unable to attend the interview physically may request permission to attend through video conference by sending an email to [email protected] at least one day before the interview, stating genuine reasons.
During the interview, candidates’ practical GIS software skills will also be evaluated.
