Requirement of Guest Faculty at Institute of Biotechnology
The Institute of Biotechnology, SKUAST-J, Chatha invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty for delivering lectures to UG/PG students during the Academic Year 2026–27.
The vacancies are available in the following subject areas:
1. Genetic Engineering and Recombinant DNA Technology
Candidates applying for this subject should possess a Master’s degree in any relevant discipline such as:

Recombinant DNA Technology

Biotechnology
Plant Molecular Biology
The candidate should have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying Master’s degree.
2. French
For the subject of French, candidates should possess an M.A. in French with at least 55% marks.
A Diploma/Certificate Course in French from a recognized university/institution will also be considered. However, first preference will be given to candidates who possess a Master’s degree in French.
3. Economics
Candidates applying for Economics should possess an M.A. in Economics with at least 55% marks.

Remuneration
The payment for lectures delivered by the selected Guest Faculty will be made as per the applicable SKUAST-J rules for engagement of Guest Faculty.
