Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree in the prescribed engineering branch and must have qualified in the corresponding GATE 2025 paper.

Salary 2026 :
Graduate Executive Trainees will be inducted in E-2 Grade with a basic pay of Rs. 50,000 per month during their one-year training period. The approximate annual CTC is Rs. 14.50 lakh.

Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of GATE 2025 score evaluation carrying 80 marks and a Personal Interview carrying 20 marks, for a total of 100 marks.

How Are Candidates Shortlisted for the Interview?
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted separately for each recruitment area based on their GATE 2025 marks, generally in a ratio of 1:6 or 1:10 against the notified vacancies, as applicable.
The merit list for Area-1, Area-2, Area-3 and Area-4 will be prepared independently, ensuring the applicable reservation provisions.
How Is the Final Merit List Prepared?
The final merit list will be prepared using the total marks obtained out of 100, combining the weighted GATE 2025 score and Personal Interview marks.
If candidates obtain equal final scores at the cut-off, the older candidate will be placed higher. If the tie continues, the alphabetical order of the candidate’s first name will be considered.
Is There a Separate Written Examination?
The advertisement does not prescribe a separate NLCIL written examination. The recruitment uses GATE 2025 scores followed by a Personal Interview, document verification and a pre-employment medical examination.

NLC India GET Reservation and Certificate Requirements
Reservation and age relaxation are governed by Government of India rules. Candidates claiming reservation must upload the appropriate certificates issued by the competent authority.
OBC-NCL candidates must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate obtained on or after 1 April 2026 at document verification.
EWS candidates must produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate obtained on or after 1 April 2026.
PwBD candidates must possess the applicable disability certificate or UDID card. Suitability depends on the engineering discipline and the identified disability categories listed in Annexure I. The notification identifies no PwBD suitability category for Mining Engineering.
NLC India GET Document Verification and Medical Fitness
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification before the Personal Interview. They must produce original qualification certificates, GATE 2025 scorecard, category certificates and other applicable records.
Candidates employed in Government, Central/State PSUs or qualifying organizations must submit the required No Objection Certificate.
Finally selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical examination and be declared medically fit according to NLCIL standards before appointment.
