Age Limit :

The age limit for PNB Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026 is calculated as on 01.01.2026. The minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years for all three posts. The maximum age limit is applicable to Unreserved (UR) category and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates. Age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules.

Application Fee :

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee through online mode only. Bank transaction charges for online payment of application fee will have to be borne by the candidate. The fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

A candidate can apply for only one post; in case of multiple applications, only the latest valid and completed application will be retained and the fee paid for other multiple registrations will stand forfeited. Payment can be made using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets, or UPI.

Salary / Pay Scale :

Selected candidates appointed as Specialist Officers (Engineer) in JMG Scale I at Punjab National Bank will be entitled to pay and allowances as per the Bank’s rules applicable to JMG Scale I officers. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Leased Accommodation, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Insurance, Retirement Benefits, and other perquisites as per Bank rules.

The selected candidates will be required to execute an Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum period of 03 years, or to pay the Bank a sum of ₹3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) in case they leave before completion of 03 years of active service. Candidates must also maintain a healthy credit history with a minimum CIBIL score of 681 or above at the time of joining the Bank.

 

Selection Process :

The selection process for PNB Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026 will be based on an Online Written Test followed by a Personal Interview, or a Personal Interview only, depending upon the number of applications received against each post. The Bank may decide to follow either of two scenarios. Under Scenario 1 (Online Written Test + Interview):

The written test consists of Part I covering Reasoning (25 marks), English Language (25 marks), and Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks) – totalling 100 marks – and Part II covering Professional Knowledge (50 questions, 100 marks), with the entire test to be completed in 120 minutes.

For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty. Part II (Professional Knowledge) will be evaluated only for candidates who qualify in each paper of Part I. Candidates who qualify Part I will be shortlisted for interview based on marks in Part II. Personal Interview will carry 50 marks, and candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection.

The final merit will be based on aggregate scores of Part II of the Online Written Test and the Interview. Under Scenario 2 (Shortlisting + Interview): Applications will be screened, eligible candidates will be called for a Personal Interview of 50 marks, and final selection will be based solely on interview scores.

Eligible candidates must apply online only through the official Punjab National Bank website at https://pnb.bank.in/ under the Recruitment/Career section. No other mode of application will be accepted. Online applications can be submitted from 21 April 2026 to 05 May 2026.

Candidates are required to have a valid personal Email ID and mobile number, which must remain active till the completion of the recruitment process

 

Before applying, candidates must scan and upload their photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, handwritten declaration, proof of age, caste/disability certificate, educational qualification certificates, and work experience documents as per the prescribed specifications. After successful registration, a provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent via email and SMS.

Candidates must take a printout of the system-generated online application form and e-receipt after payment and retain it for future reference. They should not send this printout to the Bank. All particulars filled in the online application form – including name, caste, date of birth, post applied for, address, mobile number, email ID, and centre of examination – will be treated as final, and no change or modification will be allowed after submission.

The online application form for PNB Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026 is available exclusively on the official Punjab National Bank website at https://pnb.bank.in/ under the Recruitment/Career section. The form requires candidates to fill in their personal details, educational qualification details, post-qualification work experience, category details, and choice of examination centre.

Candidates must also capture and upload a live photograph via webcam or mobile phone in addition to the scanned passport-size photograph. The handwritten declaration must be written in English only (not in capital letters) by the candidate in their own handwriting on white paper with black ink, and must state: “I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” A candidate can apply for only one post.

No change in any data filled in the online application will be permitted after clicking the Complete Registration button. An application incomplete in any respect – including without proper photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, handwritten declaration, or failed fee payment – will not be considered valid.

Candidature at all stages of the recruitment process shall remain provisional, subject to verification of eligibility criteria and other supporting documents.

Merely being shortlisted, appearing for the test/interview, or inclusion in the merit list does not confer any right to appointment. Selected candidates will be required to execute a Service Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum of 03 years or pay ₹3,00,000/- if they leave before completion of 03 years.
