Candidates applying for the post of Sangini/Sahayika must attach self-attested copies of the following documents:
Domicile Certificate.
Academic qualification certificates issued by a recognized University/Board.
Aadhaar Card.
Voter Card.
Ration Card.
Date of Birth Certificate/10th Class Diploma/10th Marks Sheet.
Ward Certificate along with a certified copy of the latest Panchayat voter list as proof of residence. The Panchayat electoral roll must be certified by the concerned BDO, while the Municipal electoral roll should be certified by the concerned Executive Officer (EO).
Unmarried Certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar (applicable for unmarried candidates).
Affidavit (Annexure ‘C’) duly attested by a Judicial Magistrate.
Appointment Order/Relieving Order of retired AWW/AWH (only for candidates belonging to the family of retired Anganwadi Workers/Helpers claiming the benefit).

Eligibility Criteria for Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)
Candidates applying for the post of Sangini must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
The applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Only women candidates between 18 and 37 years of age as on 01-01-2026 are eligible to apply.
The candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated. The candidate’s name should appear in the voter list of the concerned ward as proof of residence. If the candidate’s name appears in the voter list along with her parents, an Unmarried Certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar must be submitted. In case of any dispute regarding residence, a valid residence proof issued by the concerned SDM/ACR shall be considered.
