Age Limit
Candidates applying for the Counsellor position should be:
Minimum Age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 55 years
The age will be calculated as on the last date of submission of the application.
Educational Qualification
The essential qualification prescribed for the post is:
M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology
Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant field will be preferred as a desirable qualification.
Salary / Remuneration
The selected candidate will be paid consolidated wages of Rs. 2,000 per visit, with the Counsellor required to provide services twice a week during office hours.
Accordingly, the remuneration will be linked to the actual visits/services rendered under the contractual arrangement.
Duration of Engagement
The engagement will initially be made for a period of six months.
However, the contract may be extended for another period of six months, subject to:
Satisfactory performance of the selected candidate; and
Continued requirement of the University.
The appointment is purely contractual and does not confer any right to permanent employment.
Important Terms and Conditions
The engagement will be strictly on a contractual basis. Candidates selected under this advertisement will not have any claim for regularization, absorption or appointment against any regular post in the University on the basis of this contractual engagement.
In case the selected candidate wishes to relinquish the engagement, one month’s notice will be required.
The University also reserves the right to withdraw the advertised contractual position at any time, depending upon its decision and requirements.
Interview Details
The date and time of the interview will be communicated separately to eligible candidates through email.
The interview will be conducted in offline mode.
