The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) has issued a notification inviting applications from eligible and interested candidates for temporary Assistant Professor positions on Academic Arrangement Basis in the Faculty of Dairy Technology, R.S. Pura, Jammu.

Vacancy Details
1. Assistant Professor – Dairy Technology
Number of Posts: 03
Essential Qualification :
Candidates should possess any one of the following:
Master’s Degree in Dairy Technology
Master’s Degree in Livestock Products Technology
Master’s Degree in Dairy Science & Technology
OR
Master’s Degree in Food Technology
Food Science & Technology
Animal Husbandry & Dairying
with specialization in Dairy Technology.
OR
Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the concerned discipline mentioned above are also eligible, even if they do not possess the specified Master’s specialization.
2. Assistant Professor – Dairy Engineering
Number of Posts: 02
Essential Qualification :
Candidates should possess:
Master’s Degree in Dairy Engineering
Food Engineering
Process Engineering
OR
Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Dairy Engineering.
OR
Candidates having a Ph.D. in the concerned discipline are also eligible even if they do not possess the specified Master’s qualification.
3. Assistant Professor – Dairy Chemistry
Number of Posts: 02
Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess:
Master’s Degree in Dairy Chemistry
OR
Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science
Animal Sciences
with specialization in Dairy Chemistry.
OR
Candidates holding a Ph.D. in the concerned discipline are also eligible even if they do not possess the specified Master’s qualification.
Essential Graduate Qualification
For all Assistant Professor posts, candidates should possess one of the following undergraduate degrees:
B.Tech.
B.E.
B.Sc. (Four-Year Degree Programme)
B.V.Sc. & A.H.
Salary
The selected candidates will receive:
₹35,000 per month for candidates with a Master’s Degree
₹45,000 per month for Ph.D. holders

Candidates are required to submit a Demand Draft of ₹300.

Terms & Conditions
The appointment is purely contractual.
The appointment does not confer any right to regularization or permanent appointment in the University.
If a selected candidate wishes to leave the assignment, one month’s notice is mandatory.
The appointment is initially for one semester or until the sanctioned posts are filled through regular recruitment, whichever is earlier.
Extension for another semester may be granted depending upon:
