The Division of Animal Biotechnology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (FVSc & AH), SKUAST-K, Shuhama, Srinagar – 190006, has issued a draft advertisement inviting applications from eligible and interested candidates for various positions under a DST-sponsored research project.
The recruitment is being conducted for the project titled:
“COE-AMRDPAA: Centre of Excellence for Exploring Challenges to Identify Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Drivers and Potential Antimicrobial Alternatives in a One Health Approach.”
Positions and Eligibility
1. Research Associate-I
Salary: As per DST norms
Essential Qualification:
Ph.D. in Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, or Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
Experience in R&D projects related to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
Experience in molecular diagnostics.
Experience in diagnostic kit development.
Knowledge or experience in AI-based tools and data management.
Preference will be given to candidates having relevant research publications and patents.
2. Project Associate-I
Salary: As per DST norms
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Clinical Biochemistry.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
Experience in molecular biology techniques.

Particular experience in digital PCR and microscopy will be desirable.
Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. as part of the project.
3. Project Assistant
Salary: As per DST norms
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Clinical Biochemistry.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
Experience in basic molecular biology techniques.
Experience in cell culture.
Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. as part of the project.
