Applications are invited form the eligible candidates for the position of JRF (1) in DST-SHRI funded research project titled: “Promotion of Endangered Dialects of Erstwhile Doda District with the Help of AI based Approaches.”
Name of the Positions : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 01
Recruitment in Army Public School, Udhampur
Tenure of the Project :
03 years (Initial appointment is for 01 year which is extendable up to the project duration based on the progress of the candidate)
Emoluments: As per the DST rules.
Qualifications:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
Essential: Master’s Degree in English with at least 55% marks and NET/SLET qualified.
OR
Master’s Degree in Sociology with at least 55% marks, NET/SLET qualified, and experience in sociolinguistic research/work relating to the dialects, language communities, or cultural practices of the erstwhile Doda District.
Desirable :
Experience in phonetic transcription, ability to record, classify, and transcribe oral data from local speakers; experience in dialect documentation; must be familiar with Pahari dialects; should be comfortable in living in and visiting remote areas for field work; competent in creating audio-visual archives; familiarity with ELAN, PRAAT, or other annotation tools is a plus.
Age Limit :
Upper age limit is 28 years as on the day of the applications are received (5 years age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/OBC categories).
