The University of Kashmir has released Advertisement Notice No. 16 of 2026 dated 20 July 2026, inviting online applications from eligible SC category domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the post of Lab Assistant. The recruitment is being conducted under the University’s third re-advertisement due to an inadequate response received in earlier notifications.
Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can submit their applications online through the official recruitment portal of the University within the stipulated dates.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
M.Sc. in Home Science (Extension & Communication) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University or Institute.

Reservation Policy
Reservation for the advertised post shall be governed by S.O. 305 dated 21 May 2024 issued by the UT Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
4% horizontal reservation is available for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
Ex-servicemen shall be entitled to age relaxation and other benefits as per the applicable rules of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
Important Instructions
This recruitment has been re-advertised for the third time due to inadequate response in Advertisement Notices No. 06 and 13 of 2026.
Candidates who applied earlier must apply again, as previous applications will not be considered.
Only candidates fulfilling all eligibility conditions on the last date of application should apply.
No modifications will be permitted after final submission of the online application.
Applicants claiming reservation must upload valid category certificates issued by the competent authority.
Government and Semi-Government employees must apply through the proper channel.
A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory throughout the recruitment process.

Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted for document verification must produce:
Printed copy of the online application form.
Original educational and category certificates.
One set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.
Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, if possessing a foreign degree.
Other Conditions
Application fee is non-refundable.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Written Test, Skill Test or Interview.
Services of selected candidates may be transferred to any Satellite Campus of the University.
Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
