TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY

🛣️ NH-44 (NHW)

From 13-12-2025, 1600 hrs to 14-12-2025, 1600 hrs, there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to:

Single-lane traffic at Ballanala, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas, and between Marog & Kishtwar Pathri

Breakdown of 02 HMV vehicles

🚛 Passenger / HMVs Advisory

Passenger LMVs are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime.

Avoid night journey due to movement of HMVs between Nashri Tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel and migration of nomads, which may cause inconvenience.

🚗 General Instructions

Commuters must follow lane discipline.

Overtaking & wrong-lane driving will cause congestion.

🚘 LMVs / Passenger / Private Cars / HMVs (Goods Carriers)

Subject to fair weather & good road conditions, traffic shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.

Traffic Control Unit (TCU) Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding road conditions.

🚓 SF Convoy Movement

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on NH-44 via Jammu–Srinagar under coordination with TCU Ramban.

🛣️ Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)

After receiving green signal from NHIDCL, only LMVs shall be allowed from both sides via Anantnag–Sinthan Road.

Movement allowed from PP Parana & PP Daksum between 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs.

🛣️ SSG ROAD (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri)

After green signal from BRO:

Traffic will be regulated Srinagar → Sonamarg → Gumri

LMVs followed by HMVs allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar (0500–1000 hrs)

LMVs followed by HMVs allowed from Sonamarg to Kargil (1100–1730 hrs)

❌ No vehicle movement after cut-off timings

SF Convoys must plan movement so that civil traffic (UP & DOWN) is not disturbed

🛣️ Mughal Road

After green signal from GRE F:

LMVs / Passenger / Private Cars allowed from both sides

Timing:

Brehangala (Baffliaz) → Beewen: 0600–1730 hrs

Herpora (Shopian) → Baffliaz: 0600–1730 hrs

🚛 HMVs

Allowed from Poonch to Mughal Road on alternate days

No HMV allowed from Poonch towards Mughal Road

TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned about traffic advisory and cut-off timings.
