🛣️ TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY

NH-44 (NHW)

From 15-12-2025 (1600 hrs) to 16-12-2025 (1600 hrs), slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to:

Single-lane traffic at Ballanalla, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas

Between Marog and Kishtwari Pathar

Breakdown of 03 HMVs on NH-44

🚗 Passenger / LMVs Advisory

Passengers and LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime.

Avoid night journey as movement of HMVs between Nashri Tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel and migration of nomads from Kashmir Valley towards Jammu may cause inconvenience to commuters.

⚠️ General Instructions

Commuters must strictly follow lane discipline.

Overtaking and wrong-lane driving will cause congestion.

🚘 LMVs / Passenger / Private Cars / HMVs (Goods Carriers)

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, traffic shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.

TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding road conditions.

🚓 SFs Convoy Movement

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 after confirming NHW status from TCU Ramban.

🛣️ Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition and after green signal from NHIDCL:

Only LMVs shall be allowed from both sides via Anantnag–Kishtwar

Vehicles shall move between PP Parana and PP Daksum from 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs

🛣️ SSG ROAD (Srinagar – Sonamarg – Gumri)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition and after green signal from BRO, traffic shall be allowed in a regulated manner:

LMVs followed by HMVs from Minamarg → Srinagar
⏰ 0500 hrs to 1000 hrs

LMVs followed by HMVs from Sonamarg → Kargil
⏰ 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs

❌ No vehicle shall be allowed after cut-off timings

SF Convoys shall plan movement so that civil traffic (UP & DOWN) is not disturbed

🛣️ Mughal Road

Subject to fair weather and good road condition and after green signal from GREF:

LMVs / Passenger / Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides via Poonch

Movement timing:

Brehangala (Baffliaz) ↔ Herpora (Shopian):
⏰ 0600 hrs to 1730 hrs

🚛 HMVs

Allowed only on alternate days

Only from Poonch towards Mughal Road

❌ No HMV allowed from Shopian towards Mughal Road

TCU Jammu & TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut-off timings.
